The opening ceremony of the three Z-Tech 5000 ASD Harbor Tug boats, "RS SKYE," "RS HUNTER," and "RS

On November 29, 2024, the SC Group held an event to launch three Z-Tech 5000 ASD Harbor Tug, named “RS SKYE,” “RS HUNTER,” and “RS SUMMER,” to provide services at the Map Ta Phut industrial port area. The event was attended by numerous operators from the Map Ta Phut Industrial Port area, including companies such as PPT LNG Co., Ltd., BCP Power Co., Ltd., Map Ta Phut Tank Terminal Co., Ltd., Rayong Terminal Co., Ltd., PTT Global Chemical Public Co., Ltd., Star Petroleum Refining Public Co., Ltd., PTT Tank Terminal Co., Ltd., Glow SPP3 Co., Ltd., Thai Tank Terminal Co., Ltd., and Thai Connectivity Terminal Co., Ltd., among others.

The three Z-Tech tugs from the SC Group each feature two 1,471-kilowatt engines, providing a total power of 4,000 horsepower and a towing capacity of 50 tons. They are equipped with FIFI-1 capabilities with a water pump capacity of 2,400 cubic meters per hour, a reach of 120 meters, and a height of 45 meters. The Z-Tech tugs combine the best control and operational characteristics of Z-drive and Azimuth Stern Drive systems, allowing for high maneuverability, enabling the boats to move forward and backward easily and rotate 360 degrees. The tugs have a high towing force, capable of pulling or pushing large vessels efficiently, even in severe weather conditions or rough seas. Additionally, they feature advanced control technology that integrates both manual and automated systems, enabling real-time command transmission for enhanced operational performance. The special hull design provides better visibility for the crew during operations, improving side visibility and overall safety during the work process.
