Port Operation

NP Marine Port, Surat Thani province has a strategic location linking land and sea distribution routes between the upper South and the eastern part of Thailand. Covering an area of 22 rai (35,200 m2) with quay length of 293 m. and 110.65 m. a depth of 4.5 m., the port is equipped with modern transport facilities, such as gantry and fixed cranes, capable of lifting loads of up to 40 tons and moving 25 containers per hour. The port’s container yard has a capacity of 8,000 TEUs. With rubber, rubber products, new biodiesel, synthetic rubber, auto parts, construction materials, and other consumer goods constituting the majority of products shipped through here, NP Marine Port has been a significant force in driving the development of southern Thailand’s economy.
